As the labor shortage has impacted our nation, there are more job openings than people applying.
Millions of individuals in substance abuse treatment and recovery are seeking to find stable employment options to reenter the workforce. This impacts our local and state economy and West Virginia families.
This one-day conference will educate employers about the multiple state and federal resources available to assist them in hiring from an untapped workforce– people in recovery. Lunch will be provided during a time of fellowship and conversation.
Business owners and hiring managers can learn about resources and the incentives of “second chance” hiring through federal tax credits, federal bonding programs, on-the-job training funding, recovery friendly practices, and other resources. Learn more by engaging with public agencies and non-profits already making successful reentry for job seekers a reality in the Eastern Panhandle and WV.
